Mt. Iwaki Sacred Mountain Faith
Mt. Iwaki (1,625m) west of Hirosaki, called "Tsugaru Fuji," has been venerated as the divine body of the Tsugaru region since ancient times. The inner sanctum of Iwakisan Shrine sits at the summit.

- From JR Hirosaki Station by Konan Bus to the shrine: about 40 minutes - From Dake Onsen to 8th station via Iwaki Skyline toll road: about 30 minutes
Tips
Summer (July–September) is best for summit climbing. Mountain weather is unpredictable — always bring warm and waterproof layers. Participating in the Oyama Sankei is said to bestow powerful blessings.
