Hirosaki Castle Park features approximately 2,600 Yoshino cherry trees — the largest concentration in the Tohoku region. Blossoms against Mt. Iwaki (Tsugaru Fuji) make this arguably Japan's most scenic cherry blossom location.

Tips
Hirosaki's blooms peak later than most areas — around Golden Week. Weekends are extremely crowded; visit early morning on a weekday for the best experience.
