The Thrill of the Hell Lookout

"Nihon-ji" temple on the mountainside has Japan's largest stone Buddha (Yakushi Rurikounyorai) at 31.05m. Many stone statues including the 30m Hyakushaku Kannon are scattered through the mountain, popular as power spots.

Ropeway Scenic Views

The Nokogiri Mountain Ropeway provides easy access from the base to near the summit. Views from the ropeway are spectacular, extending to Tokyo Bay and the Miura Peninsula across the water.
