Ogaki City is known as the "City of Water" with abundant groundwater gushing, with spring water throughout the city. The Suimon River flows around Ogaki Castle (water castle) with flower-viewing boats appearing during cherry blossom season for atmospheric scenery.

Ogaki Castle is a castle also called "Mizu-jiro (water castle)" built in a strategically important location on the Nobi Plain.
