All-Female Theater Company

The Takarazuka Revue is the world's only all-female musical theater company, founded by Kobayashi Ichizo. The unique style where "male roles" and "female roles" are divided to also perform male characters is created by Takarajennu performers who undergo rigorous training at Takarazuka Music School.

Takarazuka Grand Theater

Takarazuka Grand Theater in Takarazuka City boasts 2,550 seats with year-round performances. Diverse productions are staged including main performances, national tours, and Takarazuka Bow Hall performances.

Takarazuka Townscape

Takarazuka City as a musical town has the "Hana no Michi" promenade centered on the Grand Theater. Cafes, restaurants, and shops associated with Takarajennu performers line the theater district.

Takarazuka Revue with its motto "pure, correct, beautiful" has over 100 years of history. Global works like The Rose of Versailles and Elisabeth are popular in Takarazuka versions, serving as one pillar of Japan's theatrical culture as unique "Takarazuka culture."
