Esashi Jinka is a folk song and dance tradition from the Esashi district of Oshu, Iwate, developed in the mid-Edo period. Jinka is a folk song genre with a 7-7-7-5 syllable rhythm, and Esashi's unique melody and dance have become a source of regional pride.
