Symbol of Shonan

Enoshima is a small island about 4km in circumference in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa, cherished as the symbol of "Shonan." The entire island is developed as a tourist area with many attractions including Enoshima Shrine, rock caves, and the Sea Candle lighthouse.

Matchmaking Enoshima Shrine

Enoshima Shrine is dedicated to matchmaking deity Benzaiten, attracting many worshippers seeking matchmaking blessings. "Lover's Hill" offers spectacular views of Sagami Bay and Mt. Fuji, a popular couple's spot.

Sea Candle Sunset

Enoshima Sea Candle (observation lighthouse) is a 59.8m observation lighthouse from which panoramic views of Sagami Bay, Izu Peninsula, and Mt. Fuji can be seen. The silhouette of Mt. Fuji against Sagami Bay at dusk is especially beautiful, with illuminations also fantastical.
