Ushimado in Setouchi City, Okayama is a small port town facing the Seto Inland Sea. Ushimado Olive Farm
"Ushimado Olive Farm" spread across a small hill in Ushimado is one of Japan's largest olive farms (approximately 50,000 trees) overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. November olive harvesting and oil pressing experiences are popular, and from the farm cafe, locally produced olive oil cuisine can be enjoyed while viewing the spectacular Seto Inland Sea and islands.
Yachting and Ocean Activities
Ushimado is a port town with deep yacht culture, with many pleasure boats moored at the yacht harbor. Ocean activities including yacht experiences, sea kayaking, and SUP are also abundant.
Winter Oysters
Oyster farming is conducted in the Seto Inland Sea off Ushimado in winter, and fresh oyster cuisine (oyster hot pot, fried oysters, raw oysters) can be enjoyed at local restaurants.

About 30 minutes by bus bound for Ushimado from JR Ako Line Oku Station. About 45 minutes by car from Okayama Station.
