Kuromon Ichiba formed naturally around 1810, now with over 170 stores operating in a 580-meter arcade. Beloved as "Osaka's Kitchen" by professional chefs and ordinary citizens alike.

Treasure of Fresh Ingredients

All food genres are available — fresh fish, live seafood, meat, vegetables, fruit, prepared foods, and dried goods. Particularly rich in fresh fish selection, it is the Kansai region's largest class fresh fish market for obtaining fresh seafood.

Inbound Tourism Response

Recently very popular with foreign tourists too, with more shops providing English, Chinese, and Korean menus. Called "Osaka's food theme park" for food-walking enjoyment of hearty seafood like crab, sea urchin, and tuna.

Access from Namba

Excellent 5-minute walk from subway Namba is also attractive. Visiting combined with Dotonbori-Namba area tourism is the standard approach.
