๐Ÿฆ‘ Osaka|May 12, 2026

Minoo Falls

Treasure of Osaka's Nature

Minoo Falls is a 33-meter waterfall in Meiji no Mori Minoo Quasi-National Park, popular as a nature spot near Osaka. A hiking course of about 2.7km (about 40 minutes) is maintained from Hankyu Minoo Station to the falls.

Autumn Foliage

In November, autumn foliage along the valley begins, with the entire area turning spectacular red, orange, and yellow especially from late October to mid-November. "Minoo momiji" autumn leaves have been beloved as a representative Osaka autumn tradition.

Momiji Tempura

Minoo's specialty "momiji tempura" is an unusual food of Sakura maple leaves salted for a year then deep-fried. Momiji tempura with sweet batter is a unique Minoo souvenir.

Katsuoji Temple

Katsuoji Temple deep in Minoo is an ancient temple famous for "winning daruma." With countless daruma dolls dedicated in the grounds, it is known for blessings of winning in contests, exams, and illness โ€” a popular Osaka power spot.
