🏼 Saitama|May 11, 2026

Exhilaration of Arakawa River Boating

Nagatoro's "Arakawa Line Kudari" is an experience of enjoying Nagatoro's valley beauty from a boat. Skilled boatmen navigate approximately 3km while passengers view rock ledges and cliffs. New green and autumn foliage seasons are especially popular.

Natural Rock Ledges

Nagatoro's rock ledges (iwadatami) are natural bedrock spreading along the Arakawa River, designated a National Natural Monument. You can walk on the approximately 500m of rock, observing the unique geological formation up close.

Nagatoro Autumn Festival

The "Nagatoro Autumn Festival" is held in autumn, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery of the autumn foliage-colored valley and rock ledges. Combined trips with Nagatoro hot springs and Arakawa fishing are also recommended.
