Koka City is the birthplace of Koka-ryu ninjutsu, where 53 ninja families once scattered throughout the land were known as the "Koka 53 Families." Partnering with Iga ninja, they form the two pillars of Japan's ninja culture.
Koka no Sato Ninjutsu Mura
A theme park for experiencing and learning Koka-ryu ninjutsu techniques. Shuriken throwing, rope escape, and ninja costume experiences are enjoyable for all ages. Authentic ninjutsu dojo experiences are also popular.
Mochizuki Family Residence
Known as one of the few remaining authentic ninja houses, the Mochizuki Family Residence preserves the Edo period building as it was. Hidden rooms and passages unique to ninja houses can be viewed.
Tsuchiyama Tea
Koka City's Tsuchiyama is known as a tea producing area second only to Kyoto's Uji. Strolling the ninja village while visiting historic Tsuchiyama tea fields is also a popular course.
