Grandeur of Japan's Three Great Waterfalls
Kegon Falls is one of Japan's three great waterfalls, plunging 97 meters in a spectacular cascade. The sight of Lake Chuzenji's water falling all at once is overwhelming, especially beautiful in fresh green season and autumn foliage.
Elevator to the Observation Deck
A paid elevator takes visitors to an observation deck near the plunge pool. The up-close power of the falls is completely different from the view above, with spray and thunderous sound filling your senses.
Winter Ice Formation
In deep winter, the falls partially freeze into a beautiful ice formation. While complete freezing is rare, the white frozen walls create a fantastical scene.
