Kasado Island, connected to the mainland by Kasado Bridge in Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is a small island approximately 22 kilometers in circumference. Surrounded by the highly transparent Seto Inland Sea, the island is renowned as a production area for Kasado flounder (natural flounder raised in fish pens), with fresh flounder cuisine available to enjoy at island restaurants and guesthouses.

"Kasado Flounder" is the highest quality natural flounder raised in fish pens, characterized by a light yet refined umami flavor. Various cooking styles can be enjoyed including flounder sashimi, flounder hot pot, and fried flounder.

Accessible by bus or car via Kasado Bridge from JR Kudamatsu Station. The appeal is that you can easily visit while maintaining the feeling of a remote island since it is connected by a bridge.
