Fuefuki City, Yamanashi is Japan's top peach production area, accounting for about 30% of nationwide peach production. From early to mid-April each year, peach blossoms bloom simultaneously across vast peach orchards in Kofu Basin, coloring the entire basin pink.

The spectacular peach blossom scenery called "Peach Blossom Paradise" in Fuefuki City is locally loved as "Fuefuki Tosengyo." Especially the scenery combining peach orchards along the Fuefuki River and Mt. Fuji is spectacular, with many photographers visiting as a photography spot.

How to Enjoy Peach Season

After peach blossom season ends, harvest season arrives in summer (June-August). Fresh just-picked peaches can be purchased at direct sales locations in Fuefuki City, with the sweet and juicy Yamanashi peaches highly evaluated nationwide. Fruit picking including pears and cherries can also be enjoyed.
