Kawaguchiko Sakura with Mt. Fuji: Postcard-Like Spring Spectacle
Spectacular Scenery of Mt. Fuji and Cherry Blossoms
Kawaguchiko is one of the Fuji Five Lakes located in Fujikawaguchiko Town, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi, popular as the lake closest to Mt. Fuji. During cherry blossom season from early to mid-April, spectacular scenery of about 800 Somei Yoshino cherry trees on the lakeside overlapping with snow-capped Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed.
Scenic Spots on the North Shore
The "Kawaguchiko North Shore Promenade" on Kawaguchiko's north shore is a popular spot to enjoy cherry blossom avenues and Mt. Fuji simultaneously. The combination of inverted Mt. Fuji reflected on the lake surface and cherry blossoms seen from excursion boats is also beautiful, a perfect location for commemorative photos.
Four Seasons of Fuji Five Lakes
Kawaguchiko has abundant highlights throughout four seasons not only spring cherry blossoms, but summer fireworks, autumn foliage, and winter Diamond Fuji (spectacular scenery of the sun setting from Mt. Fuji's summit). Also a component asset of Mt. Fuji World Heritage, it attracts many tourists from Japan and abroad.
