Ura-Bandai Goshikinuma
Goshikinuma in Kitashiobara Village, Yama District, Fukushima, is a group of 30+ lakes created by the great eruption of Mt. Bandai in 1888. Differences in mineral content and algae give each lake a distinctly mystical color.

Getting There
- From JR Banetsu West Line Inawashiro Station by bus to Goshikinuma Entrance: about 35 minutes - About 10 minutes by car from Banetsu Expressway Bandaisan SA Smart IC
Tips
For avoiding crowds, visit before 8am. Late October foliage season creates spectacular contrast between the lake colors and autumn leaves.
