Kenroku-en in Winter
Kenroku-en, one of Japan's Three Great Gardens, has "yuki-tsuri" (snow supports) applied in winter. Snow supports using ropes to support branches to protect pine trees are a Kanazawa winter tradition, said to herald winter's arrival when snow supports begin November 1 on Kenroku-en's Karasaki pine.

Kanazawa Castle Park's Hishi-yagura and Gojukken-nagaya are characterized by white plaster and lead-tile white exteriors, showing particularly beautiful appearance in snowy scenery. Night snow scenery with illumination is fantastical.
