Azumino is a region in central Nagano at the eastern foot of North Alps, with "Daio Wasabi Farm" famous as Japan's largest wasabi farm. Wasabi fields utilizing abundant spring water from North Alps have low water temperatures even in summer, nurturing high-quality wasabi.

Daio Wasabi Farm

Daio Wasabi Farm (Hotaka, Azumino City) is a sightseeing farm with vast wasabi fields of about 150,000ใŽก for free strolling. Wasabi gourmet including wasabi soft cream, wasabi croquettes, and wasabi beer can be enjoyed, with wasabi souvenirs also well-equipped.

Azumino Rural Scenery

Azumino is a beautiful highland city with fields spreading against North Alps backdrop. The combination of scenery that changes seasonally with tulips, apple orchards, and rice paddies and the majestic North Alps is spectacular. Cultural facilities including Rokuzan Art Museum (Rodin school sculpture) are also well-equipped.
