Fujinomiya Yakisoba is a local gourmet of Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka, becoming nationally famous by achieving two consecutive championships in 2009 and 2010 in the "B-1 Grand Prix" (national local gourmet competition). It has taken root as citizens' food even served in Fujinomiya City school lunches at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

Fujinomiya Yakisoba has unique characteristics. 1. Uses "Fujinomiya yakisoba exclusive noodles (dry type)" with more firmness than steamed noodles, 2. Meat scraps (fat residue after butchering) as topping, 3. Sauce using sardine powder. This combination creates unique flavors different from other yakisoba.
